Futsal U15 Lefkosia private schools tournament organized by PASCAL English School

Our school organised a futsal tournament of eight private schools of the Lefkosia district. The participating schools were: The Grammar School, The G C School of Careers, The Falcon School, The American Academy, Terra Santa College, ΟΛΥΜΠΙΟΝ, The Senior School and PASCAL English School. The tournament spanned from October until May, giving the opportunity to our pupils to participate in a game against another school almost every week.

The school team, coached by our P.E. teachers Antonopoulos Antonis and Kalapodas Marios, consisted of pupils from Years 2 and 3 and those were: Kyriakides A., Theophanous A., Pengeros A., Prezas N., Jovanovic N., Erotocritou C., Ioannou P., Christofides A., Ioannides M. and Christou G.

All players showed an excellent performance throughout the tournament. In the group stage we had to play three games and we won all three, scoring 15 goals and receiving only 5. In the semi-finals, having come first in the group stage, our school played against The G C School of Careers (runner up of Group B). That was a very exciting game for all, the spectators, the players and the coaches. Having an excellent performance our players won the game (4–3 final score), thus reaching the final. In the final our school played against The Grammar School and after playing fantastic football won the game (5–4 final score) and the tournament.
